William Asprey died from pneumonia on 27th December, 1914, while serving with the 3rd East Kent (Buffs) battalion in England. 3rd Buffs was the reserve battalion of the regiment and was based in England training new recruits before sending them overseas to join the other battalions of the regiment. |
